5 Exercises for Strengthening Your Core

Strengthening the core is an essential aspect of any fitness routine. A strong core not only helps improve posture and balance but can also prevent injuries and boost overall strength. Lift your shoulders off the ground and bring your right elbow towards your left knee while straightening your right leg. Alternate sides in a pedaling motion. 4. Leg Raises:
Leg raises are an effective exercise for targeting the lower abdominals. Lie on your back with your legs straight and your hands by your sides. Lift your legs off the ground until they are perpendicular to the floor. Slowly lower them back down without letting them touch the ground. To make the exercise more challenging, try lifting your hips off the ground as you raise your legs.

5. Mountain Climbers:
Mountain climbers are a great cardio and core-strengthening exercise. Start in a high plank position with your hands under your shoulders. Bring one knee towards your chest and then quickly switch legs in a running motion. Keep your core tight and focus on maintaining a straight back throughout the exercise.
